Effective: July 13, 2026
Welcome to Pantry. These Terms of Service (the "Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Pantry Marketplaces Inc., a company headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee ("Pantry," "we," "us"). They govern your use of HirePantry.com, the Pantry applications, and the Pantry marketplace (together, the "Platform"), whether you book food trucks for events or operate one. By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.
Pantry is an intermediary. We operate a two-sided marketplace that connects Creators with vetted Operators and provides the matching, booking, messaging, and payment infrastructure around each event. The catering services themselves are provided by Operators, who are independent businesses. Operators are not employees, agents, joint venturers, or partners of Pantry, and Pantry does not itself prepare or serve food. Except for the Pantry Guarantee described in Section 8, the contract for catering services at your event is between the Creator and the Operator.
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Platform. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information on your account, for maintaining the security of your login, and for all activity under your account. Accounts are managed through our authentication provider; you may not share, transfer, or sell an account.
Operators must complete Pantry's vetting process before receiving event opportunities. Vetting may include verification of business licenses, health department permits, food handler certifications, commercial insurance, vehicle inspection, and banking setup. Operators must keep required permits and insurance current for as long as they accept Bookings, and must notify Pantry promptly if any credential lapses, is suspended, or is revoked. Pantry may approve, decline, suspend, or re-verify any Operator at its discretion. Vetting is a screening process, not a warranty; Operators remain solely responsible for complying with all laws applicable to their business.
Payments on the Platform are processed by Stripe. Pantry does not store full card numbers; payment credentials are handled by Stripe under its own terms and privacy policy. When a Creator accepts a proposal, the Event Total — the Operator's quoted price plus Pantry's commission and processing fees, each shown as an itemized line before checkout — is charged and held in Escrow. Operators are charged a service fee, deducted from their quoted price, and receive the remainder as their payout. Fee rates are displayed in the product at the time of each transaction.
Escrow and payout timing. Funds are held until the event is complete. After completion, Operator payouts are initiated on Pantry's standard schedule — typically within approximately 24 hours of event completion, subject to the Operator's payout tier, Stripe processing times, and any open dispute or resolution claim on the Booking. Certain qualified Operators may be offered deposit-based payment schedules for Creators; where offered, the deposit and balance amounts and due dates are shown before booking.
Creators may add an optional tip after an event. Tips go entirely to the Operator; Pantry does not take a commission on tips. Tips are voluntary and non-refundable once transferred.
Because Operators reserve dates, purchase food, and turn away other work when they accept a Booking, cancellations are governed by the schedule below. The specific tiers shown at checkout for your Booking control if they differ from this schedule.
Refunds are issued to the original payment method. Approved refunds are initiated promptly; posting times depend on your bank.
Every Booking is backed by the Pantry Guarantee: if your booked truck does not show up for a confirmed, funded Booking, Pantry will either dispatch a comparable replacement Operator or refund your Event Total in full. To invoke the Guarantee, report the issue through the Platform's resolution tools (or to support@hirepantry.com) on the day of the event. The Guarantee does not cover issues caused by the Creator (such as an inaccessible venue or cancellation at the gate) and is Pantry's sole and exclusive remedy for Operator no-shows.
The Escrow protections, the Pantry Guarantee, and the resolution process only work when booking and payment stay on the Platform. For any event sourced through Pantry, you agree not to solicit, request, or make payment outside the Platform, and not to use the Platform's messaging to move a Pantry-sourced transaction off the Platform. To support this, contact information (including phone numbers, email addresses, and exact venue address) is withheld from the counterparty until a Booking is funded, and Platform messages may be automatically scanned and redacted for contact details and off-platform payment solicitation, as described in our Privacy Policy. Circumvention voids Booking protections for the affected event and may result in suspension or termination, and this Section continues to apply to rebookings between the same Creator and Operator for a period following their first Pantry-sourced Booking.
Pantry may offer promotional credits, including referral credits (for inviting new Creators or Operators) and rebook credits (earned by placing a deposit toward a future event). All credits are promotional: they have no cash value, are not redeemable for cash, are non-transferable, may be limited to one per Booking, expire on the date stated when issued, and may be modified or discontinued at any time. Credits apply only as stated in the offer — Creator credits toward an Event Total at checkout, Operator credits toward a future payout — and are void where prohibited. Pantry may revoke credits obtained through fraud, self-referral, or abuse.
After a completed Booking, Creators and Operators may review each other. Reviews must be honest, based on a real Booking, and free of unlawful or abusive content; Pantry may remove reviews that violate these rules but does not routinely edit them. For any content you submit to the Platform — reviews, photos, menus, event descriptions, messages — you grant Pantry Marketplaces Inc. a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable license to host, use, reproduce, display, and distribute that content for operating, promoting, and improving the Platform. You represent that you have the rights to the content you submit.
By creating an account, you consent to receive transactional communications about your account and Bookings — including booking confirmations, proposal alerts, event-day coordination messages, and payout notices — by email and, if you provide a phone number, by SMS. Message and data rates may apply; reply STOP to opt out of SMS (transactional messages required to deliver a Booking you have already made may still be sent). Marketing communications are optional and separately controlled.
You agree not to misuse the Platform, including by: posting false events or proposals; scraping or harvesting data; interfering with the Platform's operation or security; misrepresenting your identity, credentials, or business; discriminating unlawfully against counterparties; or using the Platform for any unlawful purpose.
If something goes wrong with a Booking, report it through the Platform's resolution tools promptly — for event-day issues, on the day of the event. Pantry will review the claim, may pause the related payout while it does, and may resolve it through a refund, credit, replacement Operator, or other remedy Pantry reasonably determines. You agree to cooperate in good faith with the resolution process before pursuing other remedies.
The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pantry disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Pantry does not warrant that Operators' services will meet your expectations, that the Platform will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any particular event opportunity, proposal volume, or earnings level will be available.
To the maximum extent permitted by law: (a) Pantry is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or goodwill; and (b) Pantry's total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Platform or these Terms will not exceed the greater of (i) the amounts you paid to or received through the Platform in the twelve months before the claim arose, or (ii) one hundred U.S. dollars ($100). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this Section may not apply to you.
You will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Pantry Marketplaces Inc. and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your use of the Platform, your content, your events or catering services, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party — including, for Operators, claims relating to food safety, permits, insurance, or employment matters within the Operator's business.
You may close your account at any time. Pantry may suspend or terminate your account or access to the Platform if you violate these Terms, create risk or legal exposure for Pantry or other users, or where required by law. Bookings in progress at termination are handled under Sections 5, 7, and 14. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 9–11 and 14–19) survive.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Subject to Section 14, any dispute arising out of these Terms or the Platform will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Davidson County, Tennessee, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you — by email, by a notice on the Platform, or both — before the changes take effect. The "Effective" date above reflects the current version. Continuing to use the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
